I posted it more because I was surprised Hezbollah is targeting the west bank.
There were rocket hits in Palestinian cities like Nablus.

Are you intentionally lying or just completely ignorant about Hezbollah?
They helped Assad slaughter civilians in Syria.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hezbollah_involvement_in_the_Syrian_civil_war
They bombed a synagogue in Argentina
Execution of critics in Lebanon like Lokman Slim
And recently shooting rockets towards towns and cities, like the Majdal Shams attack
For all Iranian women.
Jina (Mahsa) Amini was a Kurd.
I’m guessing it’s a reference to what Hezbollah’s already done
I’ll focus only on a few big points.
Turkey also bombs the SDF, which isn’t considered a terrorist group by anyone (other than Turkey and Qatar maybe).
Even the PKK, which is the worst out of the Kurdish groups, only calls for an autonomous area in Turkey, and not for the annihalation of Turkey or for the death of all Turks.
The Kurds were oppressed and persecuted for a very long time under Turkey, Iraq, Syria and Iran. Their neighbours all want them gone or dead (although some would be fine “just” with forced assimilation), similarily to how they view / have viewed Israel and Jews.
Kurds barely get any support, even from the USA.
Hamas has the support of many states and groups all over the region.
I’d say these are quite different situations.
All the negotiations were approved by Sinwar in Gaza, who’s supposedly the most fanatic one.
His death weakens them, although it’s certainly not enough. But he’s also not the only one they got to.
Hamas is close to losing their grip on Gaza. It will benefit everyone if they become irrelevant.
Moderate?
The guy who lead Hamas when they threw Fatah officials off buildings and shot into crowds of their supporters?
That under him Hamas charter included this very moderate part
“The Day of Judgment will not come about until Muslims fight Jews and kill them. Then, the Jews will hide behind rocks and trees, and the rocks and trees will cry out: ‘O Moslem, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him.’”
He wasn’t a moderate in any way, and it’s bizarre to see people referring to him in this way.
Speaking with reporters at Majdal Shams, Israeli military spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said that forensics showed the rocket was an Iranian-made Falaq-1.
Hezbollah had earlier announced firing a Falaq-1 missile on Saturday, saying it had targeted an Israeli military headquarters.
From what I’ve seen, French newspapers have only mentioned the Russian for now.
Russian spy arrested in Paris after alleged plan to ‘destabilize’ Olympic Games (Le Monde, English)
To weaken France’s image, to sow chaos, to get security forces focused on other things while they try to get specific targets.
There have been reports about both Russia and Iran being potentially involved.
So far I’ve seen an article about a Russian getting arrested 2 days ago.
It’s in the Wikipedia link.
But here you go: https://www.hrw.org/news/2007/06/12/gaza-armed-palestinian-groups-commit-grave-crimes
On Sunday, Hamas military forces captured 28-year-old Muhammad Swairki, a cook for President Mahmoud Abbas’s presidential guard, and executed him by throwing him to his death, with his hands and legs tied, from a 15-story apartment building in Gaza City.
https://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/15/world/africa/15iht-mideast.4.6161020.html
Two men were killed in revenge slaying, including a Fatah gunman thrown from a roof, in what Hamas described as a family grievance.
This part is unrelated to Israel.
The tensions begun the moment Hamas came into power.
When Hamas took over Gaza in 2007, they threw Fatah officials off buildings and shot into crowds of their supporters.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatah–Hamas_conflict
IDF draft laws only apply to Jews, and male Druze and Circassians.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conscription_in_Israel
Bedouins, etc. serve voluntarily.
And from the Wikipedia page, it seems like it’s not all, but a majority that refer to themselves in that way.
Lying about what?
The subject of this thread is about a strike on an army compound. That’s not a war crime.
About Rafa?
Sure: Yahoo, Reuters, Asharq Al-Awsat
Quote from Reuters:
The Israeli military said the strike against Deif also targeted Rafa Salama, the commander of Hamas’ Khan Younis Brigade, describing them as two of the masterminds of the Oct. 7 attack on southern Israel that triggered the nine-month war in Gaza
About the pictures, this article shows them.
Reuters also mentioned them, but it’s written they haven’t verified them yet.
I should’ve clarified. They aren’t currently using uniforms. As in, in the fighting since the 7th of October. They justify it themselves in interviews and you can see it in videos of theirs.
And that isn’t the IDF, it’s the Israeli police’s counter-terrorism unit.
Deif is right after Sinwar in the chain of command in Gaza.
Rafa Salama, the commander of the Khan Younis Brigade, was also targeted in that strike.
The attack was on a fenced Hamas compound. I’ve seen they already published satellite pictures from before and after the strike.
And so far I haven’t seen reports that distinguish between combatants and civilians. Either way Hamas combatants usually don’t wear uniforms. You can see it in the videos they publish.
Two Israeli officials said that the military had targeted Mr. Deif while he was inside a fenced Hamas-run compound that was not used as a camp for displaced people.
So all the ones killed are Hamas combatants.
That’s crazy because I’ve heard Israelis assert the exact opposite.
Yes, religious extremists exist also in Israel.
There’s a certain dramatic irony in funding UNRWA, paying Israel to bomb UNRWA, and then claiming you’re the only folks providing aid to Palestinians.
I’m not the one who wrote USA is the only one providing aid.
What you quoted is the reality. The bulk of the funding over the years has been from the USA and the EU.
So Palestinians are Hamas?
Why is Iran not helping Fatah?
Their support of Hamas is on ideological grounds. Israel is holy waqf land that belongs to Muslims and should be cleansed from Jews.
Even when Egypt had sovereignty over Gaza they made sure to prevent Palestinians from going to Egypt.
Tunnels from Lebanon… to Gaza…? Where’d you read that?
Hezbollah begun bombing Israel in support of Hamas. They’re also funded by Iran (much more than Hamas though).
Meanwhile Palestinians live in camps in Lebanon. Some of those walled and surrounded by watchtowers.
They have less rights there than anyone else (including refugees and migrant workers), despite living there for 3 generations at this point.
Turkey under Erdogan has been mostly hosting Hamas leaders while bombing Kurds in Syria.
I don’t think much needs to be said about Assad.
The only country in the area which actually helped Palestinians was Jordan. Although that also changed for a while after Black September.
Most of UNRWA’s funding over the years has come from the EU and USA.
Reminding you this is what you wrote. That’s what my reply was aimed at. I didn’t write anything about Israel.
What I linked to is only some examples, not everything. And the 1st link contains quite a lot of events.
Lebanese, Syrians and Kurds have been suffering from Hezbollah for many years.
